WE Board Elections

This fall, two positions on the WE Board of Directors are open for election:

  • President-Elect (one-year term; three-year commitment as President-Elect, President, and Past President); 
  • Treasurer (two-year term). 

Responsibilities for positions are described in the WE by-laws. Current WE members in good-standing are invited to submit nominations for other members (with their consent) or for themselves. Candidates should be WE members at the time of nomination. To facilitate the nominations process, we have created a nominations form, below. Nominations should include two statements: (1) a one paragraph description of the individual's qualifications (250 words maximum); and (2) a one paragraph vision for the position, if elected (250 word maximum). Nominations must be submitted no later than 11:59 PM on Wednesday, September 30, 2020.

Nominees will be invited to a call with membership to discuss their qualifications and interest in the position- tentatively scheduled for October 6, 2020. Shortly after this call, the Board will approve the ballot. The ballot will be made available to WE members immediately after approval. Voting will be open from October 7, 2020, ending at 11:59 PM on Monday, October 26. Election results will be announced the following week.

In addition to these positions, the WE Board also has a number of appointed Board positions. If you would like to be considered for one of these positions, please indicate your interest below. Appointed positions include:

  • Program Chair (professional development and social events, activities)
  • Membership Chair (membership services and retention, social activities)
  • Communications Chair (weekly digest, Twitter, LinkedIn)
  • Community Engagement Chair (Evaluation Without Borders, Mentor Minutes, scholarships)

Please note that during the COVID-19 pandemic we plan to host virtual Board meetings and events. No in-person attendance for events, meetings, or activities will be required of WE Board members during the 2020-2021 calendar year.
