A Special Event Hosted by The Evaluators' Institute and Washington Evaluators

Dr. Gary Henry

“Achieving Evaluation Influence: Guiding Effective Program Development”

Evaluations often have real world consequences for program or policy decisions. Join Dr. Gary Henry on Thursday March 14th to hear about the kinds of positive (adoption of program elements found to be effective) and negative (rejection of a proposed policy initiative) effects that evaluations have had. Drawing upon his work on school reform, Dr. Henry will share examples of how testing, mediation, and implementation fidelity can contribute to developing valid and influential recommendations for positive changes. The program will allow for a robust discussion of influence and what evaluators might do to accomplish influence.
